 Student Presentation Competition 

 Purpose 

 

Enhance the participation of younger professionals in PROTECT conferences and provide an opportunity for graduate students to present their research findings with a focus on the Performance, Protection, and Strengthening of Structures Under Extreme Loading and related events. Elevate students' proficiency in technical presentation and report writing skills, fostering the submission of high-quality content to the conference.

 Requirements 

  1. Register for PROTECT 2024.

  2. Be a student at the time of submission.

  3. The student should present the work at the student competition session of the 2024 PROTECT conference in Singapore. (Date to be announced).

  4. Submit an extended abstract, including key elements: the research question, methodology, results, and conclusions, offering a more in-depth understanding of the work. 3 pages is the minimum.

  5. In the extended abstract submission, kindly denote the presenter using the symbol (#). It is assumed that each abstract corresponds to a single presentation.

  6. Submit the research exclusively for participation in the PROTECT student competition; involvement in multiple competitions will lead to automatic disqualification from this specific competition.

  7. The presentation material should be unpublished and original.

 Deadlines 

  1. January 30th, 2024: Submit an abstract to the conference, refer to the conference's abstract requirements.

  2. June 1st, 2024: Send the extended abstract to the email secretariat@protect2024.org, and name the email subject following the format: [Your Name] + [Your Affiliated Institution] + Extended Abstract

The presentation will be assessed based on their innovation, research quality and presentation quality.

First, second, and third prizes will be awarded, along with certificates.
